Dr Jan Radeke Ph.D., M.D., D.D.S. / Dr. phil. Dr. med. Dr. med. dent is an experienced oral surgeon, who is in the position of being doubly qualified in both dentistry and medicine.

Jan began his career in 1990 and while completing his last year of medical training he worked in the Oral Surgery Department dealing with a huge variety of conditions including the treatment of oro-facial infections to carrying out surgical neck dissections.

In 1992 Jan moved into private practice, working in Hamburg's largest specialist private oral surgery clinic where he developed his vast experience in the removal of teeth, in particular impacted wisdom teeth, and maxillary canines. During this time Jan developed his knowledge in the field of neuro-facial pain management and TMJ disorders.

In 1995 Jan worked for the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. In 1998 Jan went to work with Dr Rudelt who is the director of the German Oral Surgery Society. During his time with Dr Rudelt Jan carried out training in complete osteotomy procedures, of the mandible and maxilla, ridge augmentation, and surgery to salivary glands.

In 2002 Jan moved to the UK and joined the team at Kings College Hospital, in London where he is today. Jan's responsibilities include operating on a variety of oral conditions requiring skilled surgical talents, under local anaesthetic, sedation and general anaesthetic. He is also involved in the teaching and clinical supervision of the undergraduates.

Jan is keen to support the promotion of knowledge about transmittable diseases and cross infection. In the medical sector and since 1993, he has been Editor-at-large for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Review. Jan regularly writes and edits articles aimed at training hospital staff and staff working in dental surgeries.

Jan is able to provide simple and complex surgical procedures under both local anesthetic and intravenous sedation.
