Photographs
The photos in this section are examples of work carried out by Dr Kerr at StoneRock Dental Care.
If you would like to know more about any of the techniques used, or find out how you might benefit from a smile analysis then please feel free to give us a call and we will be happy to help.
White Fillings at the Front of the Mouth
These photos show how we can use modern composite fillings to repair broken down or worn front teeth. The beauty of these fillings is the way they blend with the surrounding enamel to appear completely natural. In the case of worn down teeth, there is almost no drilling to the teeth and in both cases shown all of the work was completed in one visit.
White Fillings at the Back of the Mouth
For many reasons, more and more patients prefer to have 'white' composite fillings as an alternative to amalgam (silver) fillings. For small fillings such as these, white fillings are an excellent alternative and can be placed in one visit.
Veneers
For the ultimate 'smile lift' porcelain veneers are the material of choice. When ever a patient is not happy with their smile we need to consider not just the colour of the teeth but also the size, shape and position of them. When it is necessary to change all of these things, we use porcelain veneers to create an ideal shape, colour and orientation of the teeth within the smile. This case took several visits of planning to make sure that we new exactly how the patient wanted her teeth to look. Once the final result was agreed, ten teeth were treated, over two visits of 4 hours each.
Bleach and Bond
When a patient is not happy with the colour of their teeth, or how they are shaped, we can sometimes use a technique called 'Bleach and Bond'. In this case shown, we were able to whiten the teeth using specially designed trays containing the whitening gel. We then built up the worn, chipped edges of the teeth for a healthier, younger looking smile.
