Sally Rogers

Sally Rogers began her career in dentistry at a local practice in 1997, where she qualified as a dental surgery assistant. She took this qualification to London, nursing at Guys Dental Hospital.

During her time at Guy's Hospital she assisted in the Implantology / Oral Surgery Departments and the Dental Accident and Emergency Unit. It was here that she achieved her qualification in Conscious Sedation. This extra qualification allowed Sally to take on many more arduous responsibilities in her role as a dental nurse, all of which she excelled at.

Whilst nursing in the Accident and Emergency Clinic she became increasingly aware that many of the patients suffering with acute dental pain were doing so through a lack of basic oral hygiene. It became obvious to Sally that many of the patients being seen to have teeth extracted could have saved them if they had been given basic prevention advice.

From these experiences and her growing passion for dentistry, she decided to pursue a career in Dental Hygiene. Sally studied at Guy King's school of dentistry in London where she attained her Diploma, together with separate qualifications in Oral Health Promotion and Dental Radiography.

Since qualifying as a Dental Hygienist Sally has worked at several practices in London and Kent and is now really looking forward to working at StoneRock Dental Care where she will be an integral part of the dental team. Because Sally has such an impressive list of qualifications she is excellently positioned to play a key part in the StoneRock principle of 'co-diagnosis' where the dentist, patient and hygienist can work together to establish the ideal prevention plan.

After living in London for 5 years Sally and her partner are very happy with their decision to move to the Weald. They both enjoy skiing, mountain biking and walking and are able to enjoy plenty of the latter here in the Weald.

In what little spare time Sally has left she enjoys riding at Bedgebury on a weekly basis and is keen on a spot of yoga and cooking.
